The Interior Design Fundamentals Associate in Science Degree provides a curriculum focused on the basic and essential aspects of interior design with an emphasis on practical application in the field at the entry level. The degree provides students the opportunity to combine knowledge and skills acquired from both interior design studies and general education courses to practice professionally as design assistants or to continue their education in bachelor's degree programs. This program prepares students for career opportunities in interior design firms, architectural firms, kitchen and bath design firms, retail finishes and furnishings stores, commercial furniture dealerships, and furniture and finish manufacturers at the entry level.

- Achieve a grade of C or better in the major requirements.

- Complete additional degree applicable units to meet the minimum 60-unit Associate Degree requirements.
