"You learn something new every day." – Dorothy Kresge (my grandmother)
Imagine if you woke up each day knowing that you will learn something new! The thought makes me hop out of bed each morning. Oh, the possibilities!!!
2008
I love the creek. Walking across it to meetings or events makes me so proud to work here.
I left my hometown of Arcadia, California to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Communications Education at Miami University in Ohio. Then, I moved on to University of Georgia for my Master's of Arts in Reading Education. I finished my education at Capella University with a Ph.D. in K-12 Teaching and Learning.
I have spent my life teaching, from my first job as a swim instructor at the YMCA and a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center to teaching at University of Georgia, State University of New York-Fredonia, Jamestown Community College, Sierra College, Western Nevada College, University of Nevada-Reno, Mission College, and West Valley. Of all those places, West Valley is by far my favorite. I am so humbled to work with such inspiring faculty, staff, and administrators, and our students are THE MOST AMAZING group of people! I feel at home here and I strive to make sure all our students feel the same way.
