Course Description
The course pursues sociological analyses of the social construction of masculinity and femininity cross-culturally. It examines the debates on gender. It analyzes the impact of social, economic, and political changes on gender expectations and practices. It focuses macro-analyses of how institutions shape gender and micro-analyses of how individuals are socialized and how they 鈥渄o鈥� and practice gender.
