Course Description
This is a fundamental real estate law course covering the basic understanding, background, and terminology necessary for advanced study in specialized real estate courses. This course is designed for students with little or no training or experience in real estate law. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to legal issues that arise in real estate and to enable students to identify, interpret, and solve fundamental legal problems inherent in real estate transactions and in the real estate profession. This course also summarizes state and federal fair housing laws. This course summarizes information required for the State of California real estate license examinations. This course also applies towards the educational requirements for a California Real Estate Broker’s license, and can also be applied as an elective for the Real Estate Salesperson’s license requirements.
