Course Description
This course is the second in a series of courses designed to give all students, including music and musical theater majors, the opportunity to improve the singing voice and develop the ability to sing confidently in front of others. The fundamentals of healthy vocal production are reviewed and reinforced in warm-ups, group singing, and solo performance. Individual vocal problems are diagnosed and exercises are given to help strengthen and improve the voice. Students have the opportunity to interpret and perform literature from classical art song and the Golden Age of musical theater.
