Course Description
This course is designed to help prepare second language learners of English to successfully complete the United States Citizenship examination. The focus of the course is on communicative English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as reinforcing key points by reviewing U.S. history, government, and constitution, focusing on the twentieth to twenty-first century. In addition, instructors guide students in answering the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) 100 civics study questions, filling out the N400 Application form, and practicing interview techniques and interactions to understand and complete the final USCIS interview process for the purpose of obtaining U.S. citizenship.
