Course Description
This course offers students the opportunity to develop and apply stenographic and voice writing skills for the production of transcripts containing standard medical terminology. Instructor explains Terminology common to various medical specialties and reviews anatomical terminology. The instructor also presents stenographic and voice-writing outlines. Dictation from sources including medical publications, case histories, operative reports, and selected medical transcripts from legal proceedings, are provided to enable students to participate in hands-on practice to foster skill development.
