Course Description
This is an introductory course in general biology designed for non-science majors. Emphasis is on using critical thinking skills to understand and apply biological principles to the solution of everyday problems. Topics discussed include the scientific method, evolution, ecology, cell function and structure, cell energy, DNA and biotechnology, as well as how organisms interact with their internal and external environment. Concurrent enrollment in both BIOL 010/10L is required.
